Bond Falls: The Finale!

This the last of my Bond Falls in the Winter series of photographs.

Oh, I have MORE...
but you have  been patient enough!!

For those of you that haven't suffered through the entire series
and are masochistic enough to want to go back and see the other parts of them...
just keep scolling down, down, down through
my blogposts and if you get to the bottom of the page,
hit "OLDER" and you may get even MORE!

Here is another black and white of
that fabulous frozen foam that was gathered at one part of the river!
It looked like meringue!:

If you study the ice formations, they really are very individual
and quite spectacular:

This was part of what we needed to get PAST
to take some of my pictures.
YIKES!
What medication was I
ON
that day, anyway???:
You can see why I couldn't go any further past this point...
there were only ICE CLIFFS without even any ICE STAIRS to help me!!
I'm NUTS, but I'm not suicidal!!

Some hikers were going to try and cross the river on this snow and ice covered logs.
Thank goodness they changed their minds~!:

Still sighing over the views we saw!:

I would have LOVED to have been able to hike over to the little viewing deck
seen at the top of this photo...
but that would've involved climbing down and back up ice cliffs to do it:

What the U.P. of Michigan must look like to the satellites in the winter
(like frozen Antartica continents!):

Frozen river hat!:

Thank you SO much for going on this journey with me.

I loved being able to share these photos with you all.

Bond Falls: Part Six

I know this has been a rather long series
of photographs
of one spot.

But these waterfalls are a series of many, many cascading falls
making them seem
like a new waterfall
every few feet.

And then...
throw in ice sculptures and snow tufts of beauty...
and
well,
I just couldn't stop clicking the shutter.

So, today...
we continue.

First with a series of black and whites:

Doesn't this ice formation look like a crocodile?:

Crystal clear ice lace:

And snow/ice plates!:

Ruffles of ice!:

All that ACTION and rushing water,
right next to the fragile overhang of clear ice!:

A closeup of the alligator teeth
in black and white:

Refreshing...
all of nature's good things...
fresh water, clean snow, crystal ice....!:

A perfect place to slide down
into the rushing water!:

No. No.
You first.

Really...
go ahead...

I can wait...

Bond Falls: Part FIVE

More
Bond Falls in the Winter
photos in the series....

Love the center ice!:

And this one in Black and White:

One part of the river had all this collected frozen FOAM!
It was fantastic!:

The frosted bottom of the falls!:

We couldn't climb down there to get the view looking UP the falls
as it was a huge ice cliff with no way to do it unless you were an ice cliff climber!

Look at this lacy ice overhang!:

Bundle up,
get out there.....
Mother Nature has great things to show you this winter!!

Bond Falls-Part FOUR

Hope you aren't bored yet, because today we are continuing our

Bond Falls in the winter series!

Hey, I live up  in the frozen tundra, so I have to share it with you, right?

RIGHT???!!

Here is a closeup of that frozen iced-up branch in black and white
that I fell in love with:

I loved this tree with puffs of snow on it, caught in the middle of the river:

Ice formations, EVERYWHERE!:

Sometimes I think I love waterfalls even MORE
in the winter!:

Feel the rush!:

The water just dumps
into a
winter wonderland!:

And here it is again...

this time in black and white!:

I LOVED those tufts of snow smack in the middle of the falls:

I believe I will have yet another blog post
of pictures of the falls
and that will be the conclusion....

Until then, stay as fresh and clean as these falls
and add
a little drama (like the black and white ones)
to your life to "mix it up" a bit....
Hey.
It works for Mother Nature, doesn't it?

Bond Falls-Part THREE

Today,
I am continuing the Bond Falls in the winter series.

And, let's continue playing Black and White, too..shall we?

I loved this set of falls!:

This was the same set, in original color:

I'm messin' with you...
because HERE is
another
black and white shot:

And it's color twin:

Okay.

OKAY.

I'll stop that for a while.

Loved this shelf full of ice!:

And,
this old craggly tree.
(Is craggly a WORD?)
Oh,
who cares?:

Back to fun and games;

Here it is again in Black and White:
(I just couldn't help myself. The tree ASKED for me to do a black and white!
And, as everyone knows, you LISTEN to craggly trees, or ELSE!)

I loved that ice and snow-coated branch on the opposite bank of the river:

SEE????
See why I loved it?:
Nature at its finest!

Even though it is freezing outside in the winter,
going out in it
and seeing things like THIS
just warms my heart!
