Alpaca's! : Part THREE

Continuing today with my lovely Alpacas!

(If you didn't see the last two posts, go below this one and continue to see
the photos in the last two blogposts).
It couldn't have been a nicer day out than the day we
went out to take photos of the Alpacas.

The fields were green and the apple blossoms were all in bloom!:

I was laying on my belly in the field (more on that later! LOL)
and this goofy guy came right up to my camera!
I was laughing so hard, I could barely click the shutter:

At the trough:

Eating out of the haywagon:

Everybody sing with me, now...
"Ebony and Ivor-y!":

I loved watching them munching out on the fields:

Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear...
fuzzy wuzzy had no  hair...
I mean:
the Alpaca had been sheared:

Why...
HELLO
Loverboy!:
(he HAD me with those big brown dewy eyes!)

"What do you mean?? I am pretty cute, too, you know!":

You are right.

I just can't pick a FAVORITE one...
Can you???:

Alpacas: Part TWO !!

I am continuing today with another blogpost
of the wonderful Alpacas
I had the pleasure to photograph at a local Alpaca Farm.

(If you missed the last post, please go back and see it below this one!)

Oh. My.
I just want to squeeeeeeeze him!:

Just chillin'  out in the field:
(Did you notice how CLEAN the field looks? Alpacas poop in one place, away from where they eat.
Isn't that smart of them?)

Grazin' in the grass:

"Wait a minute!!" "Who IS that crazy lady on her belly in the field pointing that camera at us?"

Munching on (of all things:) fallen apple blossoms!:

I'll name him BUTTERSCOTCH when we get him home, ok honey???
Ummmm..Honey???:

Somehow they reminded me of a mix of a llama, a camel and a sheep:

I wanted to scratch his soft little wavy neck!:

They got sick of us and went on about their munching business...
After ALL...
they had wool to grow, people!!!!!!

They sure grew on ME !!!

Alpacas!!: Part ONE

When I heard that our local Photography Club
was
planning a trip out to photograph Alpacas at an Alpaca farm...
I was thrilled.

I always heard they were gentle creatures
and I heard they might spit at me.

I was willing to risk getting wet to be able to get up close and personal!

And??

I never got spit on and they were such fun and lovely creatures!

The farm hosts were kind enough to let us go inside their pens right close to them.

It was a gorgeous spring day and I had such a good time.

So stay tuned..this is the first of a four part series of photos of these fantastic animals.

They had sheared them prior to our arrival...so instead of fluffy sheep like fur,
they sported fresh shaved soft skin with short fur which I loved the texture and lines of!

Just LOOK at this face!!  Don't you just want to take one home?? :

White, brown and black!:

A dentist's dream!!!:

Such a cutie!!

Hello, Lover!!:

(They had colored collars on so the owner's could tell them apart when they were shaved).

Just strollin' the field by himself:

WHO!? ( I ask):
Couldn't love THIS goofy guy's face??:
(They had such personalities!!)

I just wanted to nuzzle this guy's ears!!:

I think these two were just looking for trouble!:

I just fell in LOVE right then and there...

Now you will have to suffer, because I took so many photos of them,
that I have three more blogposts coming to share them with you!!

This month's FREE PHOTO CONTEST's theme was:

CIRCLES

We got so many creative entries.

The judges now hate me.

(But that's ok...
I can take it.)

(I just probably will have a harder and harder time finding new judges).

LOL

Anyway...
let's get over the suspense and get right to it, shall we???

(drumroll, please.....................)

The winner is:

Valboy!  Her blog is called: "My Girlz Got Paws".
(Note: She says: "its the top of a gazebo in a flower garden in Lincoln, Ne. I had to lay down on the concrete to get the shot (maybe we should have to tell how we get the shot, haha) I'm sure the people leaving the area thought I was a nut!!")

Congratulations!

I say....MORE of us should "act like a nut" if it means getting
creative photos like this!

Honorable mentions also go to:

Out in My Spring Garden

I never got to show you my Spring garden yet...
So...here you go!:

I don't know why this tulip drooped, but it made for a good photo!:

I got this little "welcome" sign with a little bird house on it for my garden
at a yard sale for $3.00!! I just loved it and had to have it:

Tulips, forget-me-nots, rocks and an old metal teapot in the background:

Tulips, and Primrose in my side garden:

This is the third year these pointy little red tulips came up for me.
I really like their shape:

Various tulips throughout my yard:

When we bought our lot on the lake, we were very lucky to find a lot
with a lot of apple trees.
Our whole front yard is alive with blossoms every spring!:

And this year?
We heard more than bumblebees humming in the trees, pollenating them.
One night, I went outside and it was humming LOUDLY in the blossoms.
To our delight,
it was FULL of about 15 hummingbirds drinking and buzzing in the blossoms!:

I love photographing the INSIDE of tulips.
This one was facing right out at me as if to say:
"Take my picture, pick me, pick me!":

My husband found some old metal wheels to stick here and there
in my garden...
I have four:

I hope your Spring was as wonderful as ours was
and that your summer is too!
