Especially ponds.
This year, we have seen a multitude of turtles and frogs. Or maybe toads. Who can tell me how to tell frogs from toads?
I just know that you gotta kiss a lot of frogs/toads? before you find a prince. Since I already found my prince, I am not going to worry about it! :-}
So today's post is a tour of the frogs/toads? we have seen over the last week.
Let's make it simple...for simplicity, I am going to call them all frogs from now on in this post.
First, for those of you that have never seen a tadpole, here you go:
The photo isn't dirty, the pond was a soupy color, full of all kinds of goodies that frogs live in:
We spotted this little guy swimming under the pond's water:
And then we found this bright green frog:
Wanting to also get in the blog, this little guy swam up pretty close to me. Aren't they supposed to be afraid of giants armed with cameras? Maybe he heard that I was going to make him famous by putting him on a blog. Now I get it! He was a Kermit-wanna-be:
This one was sunning on a big rock in the middle of the pond. Who could blame him on a nice summer day?:
This one THOUGHT he was hiding from me. Thank goodness for zoom lens!:
Another shot of the lime green one, with a friend. I am afraid the one on the left does not win any beauty contests in my opinion. Perhaps a nose job?:
He let me take about 10 shots of him really close and only blinked at me as if to say: Are you done yet???:
I will post those pictures in a few days.
Oh yeah...we also saw a partridge doing a mating dance (just for me!) and a turkey vulture too.
Wow...I've got some more blog posts to get ready for you!
So much to do....so little time.....
