Orange County Choppers is taking its reality show back to school, literally. Orange County Choppers will debut a new facet of theirbusiness when the famed reality show returns for a new season this fall. In conjunction with WyoTech, Orange County Choppers will debut a new unique chopper this fall on the Discovery Channel TV show designed by intern students taught by founder Paul Teutul Sr.
Paul Teutul, Jr. has been battling his father in court this current second season of American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior. But next year, “WyoTech students will help construct an OCC custom-built, WyoTech-branded motorcycle under the guidance of OCC’s Teutul” said WyoTech and OCC in a news statement issued this week. Dubbed the “The Official Technical School of OCC”, students will be able to work at OCC’s building facility in Upstate New York. That work will featured next season with the bike “revealed in an episode of American Chopper, airing this fall on the Discovery Channel”, says the OCC news statement.
Teutel tells news “I can’t wait to kick this project off and see the creativity that the students bring to this unique build.”
Off screen, OCC has battled foreclosure reports. At issue was reportedly twomortgages secured through GE Commercial Finance Property Corp. Onemortgage is $11 million, another is $1.5 million. In July 1, 2010, OCC missed both mortgage payments. OCC’s counsel said that mortgages were being re-negotiated. At issue was an alleged mortgage valuation based upon a building now valued at reportedly $7 million and previously valued in the mortgage at $12 million.
